A few weeks ago we visited the excellent Winchester Science Centre and enjoyed all that it had to offer. The planetarium was a particular highlight, with the children ‘travelling through space’ to visit each planet. A workshop on lasers and temperature was fantastic for putting investigative skills into action along with new equipment to learn how to use. The remaining time in the centre was spent spread across the two floors of interesting and interactive tasks to do. A brilliant day all round!

Year 3/4 investigate bone strength!
Year 3/4 used toilet rolls to investigate how strong bones can be. The children didn’t believe that a group of toilet rolls could hold a teacher’s weight, but it did! The children had a go with a partner. So much fun!
