KS1 find out about Diwali!

Year 1 and 2 had a wonderful time finding out about Diwali this week. They followed a trail of lights to discover lots of interesting objects. Back in class, they learnt more about the Diwali festival and began to learn the story of Rama and Sita. They got to complete their own rangoli patterns using coloured rice, chalk, 2D shapes and colouring pencils. They were also able to try on traditional clothing, make a lotus flower, Diwali cards and listen to relaxing Diwali music! A fun morning was had by all!

R.E. Resurrection

This week the children in Year 3/4 (learning at home and school) started to learn about resurrection in R.E. The children thought about what the word meant and then looked at the definition of resurrection. Next, they looked at Aslan’s resurrection in ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’. The children were then asked to create a symbol or draw a picture to represent Aslan’s resurrection.

Here are some examples from home learners and those at school!
