Year R visit the Bursledon Brickworks Museum

The children had a fabulous time at the Brickworks and they were all very excited to board our coach and make the journey to the Brickworks museum. They spent the morning exploring the museum and finding out about the history of bricks.

They then got to make their very own brick before settling down for a much needed lunch break, I don’t think lunch time has ever been so quiet!

After lunch they had lots of fun in the play area before listening to a new version of the Three Little Pigs.

They were then challenged to work together to make each of the pigs’ houses from straw, sticks and bricks. The houses were then put to the test by the Big Bad Wolf who came along and blew their houses down. Luckily we have excellent builders in our midst and all of the brick houses survived the giant air compressor!

The children were all brilliantly behaved and our tour guide even commented on how exceptional their behaviour was. Well done Year R we are super proud of you as always.
